Just caught up with the sad news that Maurice Saxby, has passed away. He was universally loved and admired. Here we are pictured at the annual Dromkeen Dinner at the Windsor Ballroon, 2005. I had been invited to give the lecture and in my case I decided to tell two stories.

Maurice had been asked to thank me by way of giving me a small gift. As we  were both friends of Patricia Scott, renowned Tasmania storyteller  and my lecturer at Ballarat University when he addressed me he said
"Pat Scott would be so proud of you"
It was a thrilling moment to have this man pay me such a compliment
